Introduction
Westerhall is located half a mile west of the village of Gardenstown on the east coast of
Scotland on the Moray Firth. The nearest town, Macduff is 6 miles away.
The city of Aberdeen is 50 miles south.
Westerhall is a small holding of appoximately 10 acres, two fields one either side
and one at the rear.
In the northerly field is a croft which can be used for cattle, hay and hens.
Westerhall has its own unmade road of approx 0.5 mile.
Westerhall is located in a place of exceptional beauty, having unspoilt views over the coast and out to sea.
The place is very quiet and nature surrounds. It has been earmarked as a place of special scientific interest
because of rare orchids growing in the den.
Anyone who wants peace and quiet will love the place.
Adjacent to Westerhall sits a churchyard (kirk) dating back to 1004 AD.
The kirk ceased to be used as a cemetary for the village back in the 1910.
The main industries in the area are fishing and farming, therefore the food is of
excellent quality.
